The Inn at South Padre

Definitely dont go by pictures or what they tell u because the fridge was not the size they said and it barkeys works, electric sockets dangerous, awful smell of mold and butt lol like in the dress drawer and cabinets too. Wouldn't recommend this stay u less its like 1 to 3 days

****EDIT***This hotel closed Jan 1 2024 for renovations. It’s been bought out by another chain. Well, you certainly get what you pay for. I’d describe this hotel as functional. It’s nothing fancy, at all. It’s old and dingy. We had two lights that didn’t work and the door out to the patio was nonfunctional until my husband improvised so we could at least use it. Shower curtain had mold on it. The sheets were threadbare. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Breakfast consisted of waffles you made yourself and juice. They did have coffee but it was awful. Upon reading other reviews, I guess you can request more breakfast items but that is not advertised. There is a wonderful bagel shop right next door called Willy Dean Bagels. The hotel did not stink. It smelled very clean. And it wasn’t cover up smell, it smelled clean. The pool was clean and clear and the hot tub was as well. It is in a great location. We didn’t hear the noise from the bars as others have reported, but we were on the other side of the hotel. The check in staff was plentiful and informative. The night time staff was nonexistent. The morning staff was friendly. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel, this is it. As I said, it’s functional. Of course it IS pet friendly, so you can’t expect too much. One more thing, this hotel is only two blocks to public beach access which makes getting to the beach easy.

For 70/night it’s honestly not terrible. Hotel is VERY dated and not as advertised in pictures. The carpet is crunchy and there’s a lot of things needing replacement. TV did not work well. Overall though, the beds were alright and despite age, the room was clean. I would just wear shoes in the room since the floor is gross from age. There is a VERY loud bar next door that will shake you from the bass. I wouldn’t stay here again but it was fine for a one night stay

So , we literally just checked in about 2 hours ago ( early, which was a nice accommodation), I work in hospitality and know first hand how difficult accommodating that can be. We booked this hotel last min for our 5 year wedding anniversary and we are pretty happy so far! The room is exactly what we expected but better given all the recent reviews I read. Our room is clean and no roaches in sight. The air conditioner is freezing cold( nice on this humid day) TV works great, wifi is decent and pool is nice! I will update upon leaving this weekend, but I highly recommend this hotel. I am pretty picky ,but the price is great, location is great and the front desk ladies were super nice!!! Glad I didn't listen to the reviews! I only gave it a 4 because it's our first night .

Fabulous Choice for anyone wanting to stay in a clean, friendly & affordable hotel! The beds are super comfortable! The hotel outside and inside is cleaned and well maintained! There is icebox and microwave in room! Huge bathroom and ceiling fan in the room! The hotel is seriously right close to the beach! The free breakfast is absolutely amazing and the pool is maintained and cleaned throughout the day! Thank You Again Ms. Pam and her little fur baby CiCi and to Mr. Rafael! We can not stop telling all our friends about your amazing hotel! We didn’t have to ask for towels nor toilet paper! The room was clean and cool upon arrival and the southern hospitality was just unbelievable! We will definitely return because of the phenomenal service we received while during our stay here at your hotel! Thank you The Stevenson’s
