Motel 6 McAllen, TX – East

I am a VERY HAPPY customer, Luis is awesome manager he has Great Customer Service skills and leadership skills ; Araceli the housekeeper is amazing she is a keeper she truly cares about her job, I have come several times to the same location and the staff is truly helpful. You are the best. I am missing the name of a young guy at the front desk truly the best staff in that location.

I stayed at this property recently and unfortunately experienced vehicle damage while parked in the guest lot when a palm tree frond fell onto my car during windy conditions. What was most disappointing was not the incident itself, but how management handled it afterward. Despite providing photos, etc., management refused to take responsibility and relied on posted signage stating they are not responsible for vehicle damage, rather than meaningfully reviewing the circumstances or maintenance of the tree involved. I was advised to handle the matter through my own insurance instead of the property’s insurance, without being provided clear information for further review. As a guest, I expected reasonable care in maintaining landscaping over parking areas and a more transparent, customer focused response. Based on this experience, I would caution others to be mindful of where they park and to understand that damage incidents may be dismissed rather than properly addressed.

Do not come here!!! The elevator does not work and apparently to these reviews it’s been months, it smells weird in here so bad I had to buy a candle, the ac goes on and off in the night, it was so loud all day!!! Nonstop the next room over kept yelling the walls are very thin, even rn writing this at 4 am I still hear them! The morning they were yelling slamming doors then to rn listening to loud music arguing, so you can’t even get a good night rest due to the thin walls, honestly don’t recommend unless your a heavy sleeper

I didn't like going in to the motel and two employees chilling out behind the desk while there was a big puddle of vomit at the entrance and trash overflowing. After reserving the room no refund cancellation advised elevator was out. Employee said we had got a cheap rate so no accommodation was given even though customers had to climb 2 flight of stairs. Also, no one was seen working on the elevator to get it working the day we were there. The stair well was filthy and trash on steps. No drawers in room. No refrigerator and microwave either. One of the fire sprinklers was protruding out from the ceiling and didn't look connected. Once again, there is no working elevator, and based on reviews, it hasn’t been functional since November 2024. Even back then, guests reported serious issues: the floor numbers didn’t light up, and one reviewer said they were afraid to step inside due to how unreliable it was. You would think that by now, it would have either been repaired or replaced, especially since the property is still being advertised online as having an elevator.

This is definitely the nicest Motel 6 we have stayed at. The hotel is clean and has a wonderful ambiance. The staff is so helpful and friendly. We had a semi getting repairs,so 2 days turned into 5. Victor was extremely helpful making sure we didn't have to keep changing rooms on a day by day. The cleaning staff does a great job. Cassie is an absolute joy. Thank you to everyone here for making our stay a delightful adventure ✨️
