Last night my sister and I came to town for a memorial service and attempted to stay at this motel and had an incredibly disappointing experience. Upon checking into our room, we discovered bedbugs on the bed and crawling on the carpet. The bedding had hairs and stains, indicating a serious lack of cleanliness. When I called the front desk to report these issues, the staff member refused to come and inspect the room, instead offering a refund without any investigation.
After showing pictures and videos of the conditions, the staff member had the audacity to claim that the bed in the images was not from their motel, stating “that isn’t our beds” which was both insulting and frustrating. We were there literally a total of 20 minutes. This response was completely unacceptable and showed a lack of responsibility and care for their guests.
I would not recommend staying at this motel due to the severe cleanliness issues and poor customer service. Our experience was appalling, and I hope management takes immediate action to improve their standards.
The stay is always adequate and with a very fair price. The staff at the lobby provide for efficient transactions. The location is very convenient.
The rooms are well, satisfactory level of cleanliness with very rare exceptions. Flat screens in room with cable TV and air conditioning that works great.
Overall would recommend.
Room was ok. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were not great and room was not completely clean. There were long black hairs in various places and I have red hair, my spouse has very short hair so it could not have belonged to us. Needs to be updated, especially the bathrooms.
Late on review, did the weekly special at that time for a really good price during the Covid times while working at Brownsville Medical Center as a traveler. Only lasted a month there due to the bad service. Back then was a woman that always delivered bed sheets late, 24 hrs late. Excuse given to me was she had her kids with her and couldn't leave the front desk lol. Every day, at the office, office was locked, 3-5 kids were roaming around behind the desk, woman only answered through a small window frame.
Another times bedsheets had hairs but no bugs thankfully. Was given 1 towel for the month, had to ask for several more, again never delivered on time till the next day. Same excuse on her poor work performance.
Last straw was I had my husband flying in for 3 days, woman said no visitors, which is against the law to forbid a spouse especially if I paid 1 month in advance. Other rooms has homeless people with Walmart carts outside and multiple woman sneaking into rooms at night but god forbid a healthcare worker fighting covid there has her husband visit.
Spend the rest of my agency stipend on Airbnb's instead.
