This place is next to an event center and backs up to a few home. Last night, either one of the homes or the event center had an outdoor party and the music was loud until about 1:00 am. Worst night ever. To top it off, the folks next door let their kids run around and scream very early in the morning.

My daughter is relocating here for her job as an CBP agent. I accompanied her to look for apartments. This location was great. The breakfast was great and the room attendants were very nice. I’d definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at 3801 South Business Highway 281 for the first time in November 2024, and our experience back then was very positive. The hotel was clean, the room was well-maintained, and the common areas like the lobby and corridors were spotless. That pleasant experience made us feel confident to return. Unfortunately, this second stay just five months later was a complete letdown. The lobby floor and corridors were visibly dirty, and our room was not cleaned to the standards we had previously experienced. The furniture had some sort of grime stuck on it—honestly, I don’t even want to guess what it was. The bathroom and room floors were also dirty, which made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing. It’s clear that the hotel’s cleanliness and maintenance have declined significantly in a very short period of time. Sadly, this will be our last time staying here. We’ll be looking for other options in the future.

Arrived just after 3pm to check in. Reserved a 2 queen bed room and young man checking me in decided to change to a king bed without my knowledge. I only noticed when signing the check in document. After I brought this to his attention, he acted like he didn't know that's what I reserved. When a manager came he told the manager I wanted a queen bed room to which I corrected him that's what I reserved. He told the manager in front of me that he switched the rooms because their were no clean queen rooms. I was told it would take another 30 minutes to get a room. Obviously I was upset. When trying to communicate this, another guest started interrupting us and yelling at me about my interaction in trying to get the manager to take some accountability. The manager just let it happen. Didn't intervene and ask the guest to stop, nothing even after I repeatedly tried telling the guest this didn't involve him. As the only women in a room full of men, you bet I broke down in tears, I was scared and had to just take it and walk away. No apology for changing my room without communication or for not having a room ready upon arrival. Had the young man who checked me in told me there would be a wait from the beginning, there would have been a totally different outcome. He wasted time changing the room, when he could have met me know what was going on and relay to his manager they needed a clean room as a guest was waiting. Didn't happen that way! I felt unsafe my entire stay and I didn't have funds to just leave to another hotel. Room was still dirty, chip bags with food in them under the bed. Hallways smelled rank. I had several family members staying there at the same time and trust they never will again after hearing my experience.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights. One of the rooms rooms wasn't ready when we arrived after 3 and the front desk said we would have to wait 30 minutes. I asked if they could check again and when they called housekeeping it was ready. They did not service the room the next day except for putting a couple of towels in the bathroom. Did not make the bed, replace the coffee or empty the trash. The elevator doors close extremely fast and do not stop. My mother was trying to get out of the elevator and the door hit her arm and tore the skin open. The front desk was not concerned and seemed bothered that we asked if they had a first aid kit since she was bleeding. The hotel is nice overall and in a good location just don't expect hospitality from the staff
