VACATIONERS BEWARE
Our stay at this Holiday Inn was absolutely unacceptable. We checked into our room only to discover there was no hot water. After notifying the front desk, we were moved to another room—only to find that this room also had no hot water.
We went to bed hoping things couldn’t get worse, but woke up the next morning to water all over the floor because the air conditioning unit had leaked. To make matters even worse, there was black mold in the bathroom, which is a serious health concern.
The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful throughout this entire ordeal. Despite the multiple issues and unsafe conditions, they refused to refund our money and essentially told us to “deal with it.”
This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Poor maintenance, unsanitary conditions, and disrespectful staff. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
My stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Raymondville, Texas did not meet basic standards of cleanliness or maintenance. The room showed signs of blackmold, which raises serious health and safety concerns. In addition, there was no hot water available during my stay, and the air-conditioning unit was leaking all over the floor, creating water issues in the room. I woke up not able to breathe from the black mold.
These are fundamental issues that should be addressed before a room is made available to guests. I expected a significantly higher level of quality and upkeep from a Holiday Inn Express property. Unfortunately, this location fell far short of those expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.
Had a great stay at the Holiday Inn this weekend! From the moment we arrived, Ms. Rhonda made the experience smooth and welcoming. Check-in was quick and easy thanks to her friendly attitude and attention to detail. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She also gave us helpful information about the hotel amenities and their hours, which made everything so convenient.
The room was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable—we had an amazing sleep that night!
The only area I think could use a little improvement is the breakfast selection. While the cinnamon buns were a hit and the coffee was extremely delicious, having a wider variety of breakfast options would really elevate the experience.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I’ll definitely be checking in again for my next vacation. Thanks again to Ms. Rhonda and the Holiday Inn team for the excellent hospitality!

I've normally had a great experience with Holiday Inn Express, but the smell of mold in this hotel was terrible. Unfortunately, the front desk couldn't smell it (probably because they've got used to it). Our room, #109, was even worse unfortunately. We had a 3 day stay this last week and we tried to stay out of the hotel as much as possible due to the smell. I hope this hotel can fix this issue but others should be warned to check the hotel out before you book a room.
