Comfort Suites Beachside

A true hidden gem! Great price, very clean, and tons of amenities. Fabulous breakfast and 24/7 coffee. Pet-friendly with easy access to outdoor potty patches. Juan greeted us at the door and made check-in quick and effortless. Highly recommend!

Where do I start ? I go to check in and the guy at the front desk says I must be at the wrong hotel cause I have no reservation and they have no rooms left. I show him my phone confirmation for my reservation. The manager then gets involved and magically finds it. Additional guest besides me had same issue…someone marked our reservations as a NO SHOW the day before. Then I get to my room with my service dog and a wet spot of pee on floor. Hotel insists it was my dog and I’m being charged. My dog is still in my arms. Not even on put down. My dog located food under the couch and ate whatever it was. Couch is stained with who knows what. Management claims she has a light that she checks every room after cleaning for pet pee. Apparently she needs a brighter light that sees how dirty the carpet is. Need lessons on vacuuming. If the pee was from my dog….why would I make a big deal about it and just not clean the spot my self? Makes no sense to me….I guess I shouldn’t have said anything. Found clothes tags in the bed. Not sure on that.

The only positive thing was the front desk person was friendly when we checked in. Didn't like our first floor room. It was dingy and outdated. It was supposedly a no smoking room but I could detect the smell on the pillows. The second night we had some loud party group next door. But the worst part is that the housekeeping staff stole some of my irreplaceable jewelry. Omg I was so upset!! They didn't even make the beds. Just put towels. Guess the rest of the time they were going through our things!! Err... 😡

Stinky and moldy room on first floor. To top it off the housekeeper who serviced my room when I left stole some items from my bags. Gucci New Red Lipstick in box, Touch land Rose Water Sparkle Hand Sanitizer and more. She probably thought I wouldn’t miss them but now that I have unpacked my bags I noticed. Stay clear from this hotel and don’t leave anything in your room because they will take your clothing also.

Everything was great, except there were a few bugs in the room, and the fans ran all night in the bathrooms. We had two bedrooms they gave us. One room had two queen bed and the other had one king. Just the last night we were leaving thats when we encounted the roaches. We were on the 4th floor. We had a jetta tub and also went outside to get into the hot tub, it was hot but the jets wasnt working and we reported everything. Just to let them know. The phone in the room was't working. We did get to see Elon Musk rocket go up. Otherwise we enjoyed our self. It was our first visit to South Padre Island. You report things and hopefully the will take care of those issues. I always enjoy Comfort Suites at other locations. Oh yes the breakfast was great.
