Quality Inn Brownsville

Sadly,I had to attend a funeral Thanksgiving weekend. I chose this hotel because of the availability and its convenience to where I needed to be. When I first drove up to the Hotel. I was not impressed with the outside look of the hotel. I was though, greeted by a very nice attendant in the tiny lobby. Y'a the room was huge and very clean! And it served a free breakfast that was actually very decent! Waffles, eggs, etc... No luxury here,but good service and clean room!

I’ve stayed in similar inns in the area and this has been the best so far. VERY very clean, friendly staff, nice pool. 👍🏼

Wasn't happy with the service and cleanliness of the bathroom. Colleagues complained about heavy smell of Marijuana in one room..... Charged more than advertised! (we ran out of time - so we stayed) We will NOT go there again... People were friendly though!!

Everything was great. The room was very clean. It even has a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was great, too. They had lots of choices, including waffles, scrambled eggs, and bacon. My only criticism would be the stair case on the back side of the building. The last step up to the 2nd floor landing has a much wider step up. Most likely, the stairs had to be replaced at some point. I would maybe mark it with some yellow warning paint to warn guests.

This Quality Inn is one of the best I've seen. The rooms have all been remodeled and are very clean. Every room has a large flat screen, fridge, microwave, iron and board, coffee maker and hairdryer in it. The AC works in every room and it does get cold! Several times I've had to turn it off for a bit to warm up. They do have a pool, onsite laundry, vending machine and morning breakfast. The laundry machines could use some work, as the dryer requires 4 full cycles to completely dry a load of clothes. Washer works fine. I can't speak to how good breakfast is, I don't usually eat breakfast, but it does smell good. There isn't much by way of walkabout, but it's Brownsville, there are plenty of Uber and Lyft running about. There is a liquor store and a gas station/bait shop across the street if you need a quick bite or drink. The bait shop has really good breakfast burritos. Me and a bunch of guys on my crew did try those once and were very impressed.
