Very good food, and cheerful competent service. I enjoyed my "Porfirio's Chicken (it's hard to find healthy alternatives at Mexican restaurant and this one is), my mother liked her Chile Relleno—though she would have preferred more "pica" (spicy heat from the Chile), and my wife was very happy with her fajita tacos. The price was competitive. The only slight "down" was the atmosphere. The place has seen better days inside: tables' etc., look worn.
My breakfast plate was amazing! Alvaro was the best waiter I’ve had. He kept sharing new salsa with me as I was having my breakfast. Overall great experience great food great value.
Had a great birthday lunch at Porfirio’s- I ordered the beef burrito! Lily was very helpful and the music playing was exactly the environment we wanted during our work trip to McAllen from Chicago!
My girlfriend and I came here for lunch and the steak and potato was cooked to profection. The owners and staff were very attentive. The prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend.
We will be back every week from now one.
